Wildacres Writing Workshop Scholarships

Scholarships for 2010 have been awarded.

There were 3 writing scholarships available for 2010:

• The "Wildacres Experience" Scholarship for creative writers, awarded to Suzanne Lunden;
• The Katherine Osborne Scholarship for creative writers, awarded to Philip Dunn;
• The Creative Nonfiction Scholarship for writers of creative non-fiction, awarded to Kevin Roberts.

Requirements for all scholarships were as follows:

1. Must be serious about writing;
2. Must be over 21;
3. Not a previous Wildacres attendee.

Prior publication was not a requirement.

The Wildacres Experience scholarship was donated by an alumnus who would like to remain anonymous. The reason given for this generous gift : "I have attended workshops all over the country, including Hawaii, and Wildacres is the best. It's a great learning experience and an outstanding community of writers."

The Katherine Osborne scholarship was given to honor and in loving memory of Katherine Osborne, a fine writer who attended Wildacres for many years. The scholarship was funded by alumni who knew and loved her.

The Creative Nonfiction Scholarship was donated by a generous alum because "I would like to share this wonderful workshop week with someone who might not be able to attend otherwise."
