Wildacres Writing Workshop Scholarships, 2012

Scholarship applications must be submitted (postmarked) by April 1, 2012.

Three scholarships are available for 2012:

  1. Wildacres Experience Fiction Scholarship
    Funded by an alumnus who would like to remain anonymous. "I have attended workshops all over the country, including Hawaii, and Wildacres is the best. It's a great learning experience and an outstanding community of writers."
     
  2. The Wildacres Writers Scholarship in Poetry
    Gifted to celebrate all poets, writers and musicians whose spirits have been touched by the magic of Wildacres.
     
  3. Wildacres Writers Scholarship in Fiction
    Gifted by a Wildacres alum to help spread the joy of belonging. 

You may apply for only one (1) scholarship.
 

Requirements for scholarships:

  • Age: over 21. 
  • Not a previous Wildacres attendee.


To apply:

Scholarships 1 and 3 / Fiction
Submit 6 to 10 pages of prose, double spaced and with your name and email address on all pages. It must be current, unpublished work. The top page must be the Scholarship Information Form (at the end of this section). Clip the form and your prose together and mail them to: Judith Hill, 233 So. Elm St. Greensboro, NC  27401. Postmark by April 1, 2012.

Scholarship 2 / Poetry 
Submit 6 poems with your name and email address on each poem. Poems submitted for review may be any style or nature, but must be current, unpublished work. The top page must be the Scholarship Information Form (at the end of this section). Clip the form and your poetry together and mail them to: Judith Hill, 233 So. Elm St. Greensboro, NC  27401. Postmark by April 1, 2012.

Scholarship Information Form: This cover page should be printed, filled out completely and attached to the front of your work.
